In addition to our seemingly impossible monthly support we need to raise to live and work in Kharkov, Katie and I also need to raise quite a bit of one-time money to cover relocation and set-up costs when we get to Ukraine. This amount covers travel, shipping, initial apartment needs (fridge, furniture, etc.) as well as upfront language training costs and many other little things that add up to quite a lot of money. Though our focus has been finding supporters to commit to our monthly needs, this huge dollar amount has continued to linger in the back of our minds.
This morning we got an email from the finance office at Sunset informing us that we received yet another anonymous check, this one from someone who wanted to contribute strictly to our relocation needs. The amount was very humbling, and it’s amazing that one individual would give so much.
So here we stand, once again, completely humbled by God’s provision. We don’t deserve what he gives us, but He continues to give. For that we are thankful. Thankful to you, dear supporter, for considering our work to be worthy of your gift. And thankful to you, our God, for proclaiming us worthy when we most surely are not.
