Yesterday I had the honor of photographing the wedding of two dear friends, Michael Horn and Brittney Nunn. Katie and I have known Brittney since she and Michael went through AIM in 2006, and we’ve known Michael since we ourselves were in AIM back in 2001. They are a beautiful couple and I was glad to be a part of their beautiful day.
Michael and Brittney are a couple who have truly done things the right way, and so when the time came to exchange vows, we were all extremely excited to share in the beginning of their new life together. They had even decided to save their first kiss for their wedding day, and it was fun to be there for that. Today they are off to Cozumel, Mexico for a week of all-inclusive resort bliss.
In the realm of photography, I am very inexperienced and know I have a lot to learn. In the realm of wedding photography, I am even more inexperienced. Battling church building lighting, dealing with on-camera flash, off-camera flash, and posing giant groups of people are really above my pay grade, but capture beautiful memories we did nonetheless, and I am excited to get working on them in the digital darkroom.
To all the Nunn family and the Horn family, thanks for everything. We had a great day with you all yesterday.

This wasn’t just “church building lighting,” this was “Sunset auditorium lighting.” That’s given me fits, although only on an amateur level.
On a different note, wish I could have been there. Michael is kinda like a little brother or cousin to us, so it will be neat to get to see their wedding through your lens.

was any one else thinking about how gross and dirty the bridesmaids feet were going to be after walking around barefoot? it was a great wedding! thanks for doing photos beforehand!
