It’s good to be here. This is the third time my parents have driven their RV up to Katie’s grandma’s house and we’ve celebrated Christmas together. Katie, her grandma, and my mom have been in the kitchen baking cookies and pies today, and tomorrow they’ll be making our traditional potato soup. My sister also drove up this evening and is here with her three-year-old who really adds life to this party. It’s good to be with family, and I am so thankful for mine.
Five years ago today I asked Katie to marry me in this house. I can’t believe it’s been that long already. What a great five years it’s been.

awww you two almost make me want to cry…
notice how I said almost…
because it just so happens that I think this is super cute..(but let’s not get mushy…hence why I DIDN’T cry.) :) I would have called to wish you two happy engagement anniversary…but obviously I didn’t.
So instead…I’m making this even more heartfelt and writing a comment on your here website.
