Today is Katie’s 27th birthday. I couldn’t be more happy to have her in my life than I am right now. I am so thankful that she was born and am eternally grateful for the life she’s chosen to live with me. So, dear wife, today I wanted to share 27 things I love about you. To everyone else, please feel free to add your own in the comments!

And compared to all the great things that would take too long to write,
I probably should mention the 27 that I like…

You love wearing flip flops.
You’ll always be a California girl at heart
You still like to laugh at my jokes.
You know when to explain to people, “He’s kidding.”
You have a hilarious sense of humor that very few people in the world know about.
You’re learning how to knit.
You like to play games.
You want to be a mom.
You pretend to be interested in things I know you’re not.
You care about your health.
You challenge yourself to try new things.
You love Ukraine.
You desire to be the woman God wants you to be.
You have a big heart for the lost.
You have a big servant heart.
I love how everyone loves you.
You love to be hospitable and have people in our home.
You never get tired of me taking your picture.
You’re so cute when you say, “Pay attention to me!”
You love my family.
You kiss me in public.
Your beauty is stunning.
You care about modesty.
You are kind to your grandma.
You’re so cute to watch when you’re talking to someone on the other side of the room.
You like to read books with me on road trips.

And the 27th thing I like about you…

You make me love you.

Happy Birthday, Kates!

    Happy Birthday !!!!!

Cynthia and I hope you have a very special day today. I did not know that today was your birthday, but you share this birthday with my father. I hope your time at Broken Arrow has been good and that you have made some new friends here already. You are a special couple and I am so excited about the potential you have to lead many others to Christ.

May God bless you on this special day.

What a great post Brandon. As a side note, one of the reasons I love you is because of how much you love my sister. Thank you for that! I posted the following to FB this morning before I saw what was on your blog, so I will re-post here to join in on the fun. This is a very small glimpse into why I love my sister:

Happy Birthday Sister!!! 27 years ago I received the gift of a sister (and it wasn’t even MY birthday). It is one of the best gifts that I have ever received. Your sweet, patient, and kind demeanor growing up provided the perfect balance in our otherwise crazy, whirlwind life. Your dry sense of humor and quick wit never cease to make me laugh. One of my favorite things to witness is when you actually laugh out loud at something, and I will admit to you now that sometimes I make it a goal to try and be the one to make you laugh out loud.

You have laughed with me and you have cried with me. You have fought with me and you have prayed with me. You have sat silently with me when nothing else seemed to be appropriate. For all these things and many many more I love you. And so, while it may be YOUR birthday, I am very grateful for the gift that I was given on this day 27 years ago. Because I was given you. There are many who love you, and for so many reasons. I love you because you are not only my sister, but my friend.

I hope you have a fabulous day!! I wish I could be with you, but I know you are in good hands. :-) Just know that my thoughts are with you.

“Sister, Sister, never knew how much I missed her………”

Katie I have had a wonderful time teaching with you at 50 Days. I am impressed at your willingness to jump right in and help even when you are unsure what to do. You have such great ideas and the ability to change gears when necessary. You may not have chosen the path of an “educator”, but you have a talent for teaching and sharing with others and will be able to touch so many lives as you work daily as a servant for Christ. God Bless You!

    Love
    Stephanie

    Brandon, that was so sweet!

Katie, Happy birthday! I know this comment is way late. Liv told us when it was your birthday (I don’t keep up with facebook these days) and I totally forgot- even after the reminder! I hope to make it up to you in coming years :) and i hope you don’t take it personally. I really think you are a Godly woman and I pray for you much much more often than I write! I am excited about getting to know you more- soon!- and excited to work with you and know you more through my own personal experience than from what other’s say about you- which is all absolutely wonderful!

Belated Blessings. I know God has much in store for you this next year in your life. I pray for extra strength and love for you!
