I mentioned yesterday that last week Katie and I got to go see a concert with our friends who came to visit from Lubbock. I thought today I would just briefly mention that we went to see Hanson, and that the concert was fantastic. I’ve been a fan of the group for years but have never had the opportunity, so when we found out they would be playing here (which also happens to be their hometown), we jumped at the chance to go see them live.

This coming weekend I’ll be preaching in Coffeyville, Kansas as Katie and I continue to look for more financial partners to make our work in Ukraine a reality. Katie suggested I preach on something similar to a class I had taught during our year in Ukraine back in 2008. It sounded like a good idea, and so yesterday morning before we headed to the building, I was going to upload those files from home so I could access them from the office. But I couldn’t find the files anywhere on my computer.

So I recently discovered that there has been a war raging for several years now about the proper number of spaces that follow a period. Like much of the rest of the English-speaking world, I was taught in my computer class that there needs to be two spaces following a period. I've read that this [...]

I am a fan of simple and efficient. Unfortunately, my favorite things to do in life are far from it. For example: this website. Having a place to publish my writing and photography is a life long dream of sorts. I have always been fascinated by media and the power it holds. At a very young age I [...]
